A few years ago, we had the chance to work on a project that still holds a special place in our hearts: a series of 10 digital illustrations with water-colour effect. Everything revolved around two bloggers who writing about very deep personal stories, like falling in love, finding the one, learning from each other, swinging between the enjoyment of feeling like a princess and rejecting it fully, breaking up, holding onto hope. And so many others.
Each post was packed with emotions and metaphors, and our challenge was to bring those feelings to life visually.
Two recurring characters took shape and became the heart of this series, adapting to each story — sometimes playful, other times melancholic, yet always immersed in the emotions of the moment.
Finding ways to translate inextricable ideas into tangible, expressive images was not just a struggle, but also a joy. Some illustrations flowed easily, while others took time, asking for just the right balance of color, gesture, and atmosphere.
Looking back, this project wasn’t just about illustrations — it was about capturing emotions in water-color. Making the invisible… visible.
