The Sustainability Checklist

“‘Thinking green'” is a continuous process, requiring creativity and adaptability while making the best choices for the future of humanity and our planet.”

Greening the Youth Sector: Sustainability Checklist is a guide and inspiration for youth event organisers who want to continue to do what they love, while at the same time caring for the planet. It includes a list of the relevant focus points where significant change can be done, like choosing the accommodation and venue, purchasing food and consumables, buying fair trade, reducing the digital footprint etc.

This project required the creation of both the layout of a publication (printable and web-friendly), along with multiple language adaptations (in Spanish, French, Serbian), printable versions and post cards, and an animation,

When we started, the paper (based on research done by the Pool of European Youth Researchers – PEYR, and authored by Neringa Tumėnaitė) was ready for the layout process. But, to make the whole project as cost-efficient as possible, we optimised our work and chose to start with the animation. Then, we were able to use the illustrations created for it also into the publication, making sure, at the same time, that we created a coherent visual language across the board.
